The DXI4286-2 from Uniden is a dual handset system, which utilizes 2.4 GHz extended range technology to deliver clarity and range that many 900 MHz phones just can't offer. Call waiting and caller ID compatible, the DXI4286-2 has a 30-number caller ID memory, with a display-and-dial feature that makes dialing any recent incoming call a snap. You can also store up to 10 numbers in speed dial memory, allowing you to quickly call your most frequently used numbers.A handset LCD screen provides access to the phone's numerous features, with a menu that can be set to one of three languages (English, French, or Spanish). The base unit is wall-mountable, and both handsets feature face-up charging, so you can easily see the caller ID menu when receiving calls. A page/handset button makes it easy to find a misplaced handset, and the handset-to-handset call transfer function lets you easily route incoming calls.
The DXI4286-2 is headset compatible and comes with two belt clips, one for each handset. You can switch between tone and pulse dialing modes and adjust both handset and ringer volume levels. A low-battery indicator lets you know when to return the handset to its cradle for recharging, while a voicemail indicator lets you know when you have messages waiting (requires subscription to a fee-based service). The auto-talk feature lets you answer the phone simply by removing it from the cradle, and a redial feature lets you quickly dial the last outgoing number. Uniden also provides a one-year limited warranty.

These phones are a good buy for the cash! There are a few features they don't have, but overall they are a great buy.

I bought this phone 6 months ago and I wish I had kept the recept so I could return it. First off, you can not keep it on the charger or the battery will only allow you to talk for 20-30 minutes before dying. When it dies it will give you a couple of beeps notice then it shuts off. If you do not hang up before it shuts off then your phone line is unusable. You actually have to unplug the phone from the phone line just to recieve or call on other phones. I have never heard of this happening before and my friends and family are tired of talking to me only to hang up on them without warning because my phone is beeping and I know I only have a few seconds to hang up or risk losing my phone line for hours. I would have given this phone zero stars if I could have. I would recommend spending a few extra dollars and go with another expandable system. Don't make the same mistake I made.

I like these phones.
The reception is good.
The only drawback is that if you pick up one phone, the other one cannot connect to the base, but that may be typical to the phones which share one base.
Other than that, the phones are great and the sound is good.

These are terrible phones. They crackle and have a large amount of background noise. The Caller ID menu does not display well either. Maybe they interfere with our wireless network. There is no clear channel on them. They are pretty much unusable. I didn't pay much for them but it was all wasted.

Standard featured cordless phone with caller ID. Wished volume went up a little more. Sometimes picks up bursts of interference - not sure if the phone is at fault.
