The Uniden EXP2900 series 900 MHz cordless phones are designed and engineered to exacting standards for reliability, long life, and outstanding performance. The EXP2900 series features include AutoTalk and AutoStandby. AutoTalk allows you to answer a call by just removing the handset from the base so you don't have to waste time pushing buttons or flipping switches. AutoStandby allows you to hang up by simply returning the handset to the base. The UltraClear Plus true compander circuitry virtually eliminates background noise. This innovative technology, together with 30 different channels, provides you with the best possible reception during all your conversations. To protect you against misbilled calls, which might result from your phone being activated by other equipment, the EXP2900 series has Random Code digital security, which automatically selects one of over 65, 000 digital security codes for the handset and base. Also, the AutoSecure feature electronically locks your phone when the handset is in the base.Amazon.com Product Description
Step up the pace with a two-line Uniden EXI2926 cordless telephone-speakerphone with call waiting and caller ID. You decide whether to interrupt your work to answer an incoming call. Special features include intercom and page, a 50-number caller ID memory, and a large, clear backlit LCD. The 900 MHz analog operation offers clearer sound and longer range than older models operating on a lower frequency band provide. The EXI2926 provides dual dialing and displays on both handset and base. The unit's memory is programmable to 40 speed-dial numbers with one-touch connections. Caller ID remembers the last 50 incoming calls, displaying the caller's name, number, date, and time of each call. Incoming calls are stored in memory with a three-line display for information that is clear and easily readable.
You'll appreciate the independence of a speakerphone to allow unrestricted and hands-free movement when placing and answering calls, especially since this model is headset compatible. With adjustable volume control, intercom, and paging to recover the misplaced handset, the phone is designed for your desk or for convenient wall mounting.

This is a good phone for the price. Does what it says it does. The voice quality is clear and nice. 900MHz is less crowded spectrum now as the 2.4G interfered with the wireless routers 802.11b/g. The range is decent. I hope the battery lasts and also I hope it will be durable in the long run.

This is a great phone. It had all the features I was looking for -- 2 lines, conf, call waiting, call id, transfer, mute, headset jacks, volume, ringer on/off. The only problem is that you cannot turn off the ringer on the handset. If your talking on one line and another call comes through on the other, it rings loudly in your ear. I called Tech Support and you cannot turn this off -- only to hi or low volume (and 'low' isn't that low). If it weren't for this, I'd recommend it highly.

After less than one year, I am shopping for a new phone. The handset does not work anymore. I replaced the battery thinking that was the problem but it wasn't. When I click on one of the lines, there is either no sound at all, no dial-tone or anything OR it is just static and fuzz.
I hope my next phone lasts longer than this one did!

I bought this phone with the intention of using it in my home office. The caller-id function is very important to me. Unfortunately, the phone lays to flat for you to see the caller-id display or read the keypad. Also, speakerphone volume is really loud, even when turned all the way down. I am taking this phone back.

I bought this phone last Christmas and within two months the handset quit working unless you bang it on something. It also will not hold a charge. What a waste of money!
